Submit Your ILYB Photo

I invite you to take some time to think and feel your way to your own “I Love You Because” photograph.

There are only a couple of guidelines:

1) Please don’t include recognizable faces in the photo.
2) The words “I Love You Because” must appear in the photo followed by your reason.

I also discourage Photoshop in the images. There is something rewarding in actually writing the text somewhere and taking a picture of it. And please make sure your photo is big enough to publish on the site: a minimum of 950 pixels on the long edge. Generally, photos that are above 1 megabyte will fulfill this requirement. I reserve the right to not approve images that I find offensive or ones that don’t follow the submission guidelines.

You might also want to consider the following things I have learned while taking dozens of these images:
1) Getting closer to the words you’ve written is better (literally and metaphorically!). Try to have the words big in the photo so that they are easy to read from a distance.
2) Doing this is very rewarding. Let yourself enjoy the experience.
